Loyalty Unity Victory of Aggramar
Almost three years old, L.U.V. is a nice place to play! We have a history of progression mixed with fun, and with a loyal core of high ranked members, we intend to be here for a long time to come! We welcome newcomers but only accept people we have knowledge of, or who come highly recommended, and this way we ensure that our guild stays a happy, fun, progressive place to be !

Outline of the Guild

Hi, All !!!

You can all thank Mr Mekkanik (Mekkgineer) for a bit of a L.U.V. revival !

He called me up the other day and suggested that we revive the guild a little. After a little persuasion, I agreed to give it a shot and see what happens.

I don't have as much time as I used to have for dedication to the game, and we also learnt a lot of things about what we enjoy and what we don't enjoy when it comes to WOW over the last 6 years.

So we will set out with these basic goals:

To avoid the stress of overpopulation by kidzzz and retardzzz we will keep our focus on 10 man

To remove the chance of burn out, we will raid about 3 times per week. We will decide the days of the raids by discussion in advance each week, and maybe we will eventually fix three specific days

To fit in with everyone's timetables regarding getting home from work and getting up for work the next day, we will start raids at 20:00 and finish raids at 23:00

To maximise EVERYONE's fun, we will start with 10 man normal, and make sure everyone gets a chance to see as much content as is possible, bearing in mind that some of us might simply never see certain content due to lack of activity or not being of the required WOW-ability to be able to be part of a boss kill

At some future point, we might do a few 10 man heroics, but only when we are ready, and only when it will not detract from our enjoyment by becoming stressful

We will try to mix things up (e.g. a little 10 man normal, a little PVP, a little 10 man heroic, a little achievement hunting, a little old content etc) so that we explore the full range of things the game has to offer, and prevent the WOW experience from becoming stale, although 10 man normal will be the major activity. Imagine 2 nights 10 man, and 1 night screwing around per week

We will limit the guild to players who know how to play, and who we know for some time. This will ensure we don't have rage nights, because everyone knows everyone else, and we don't have to rely on people we don't have some trust for

We will keep our members happy by allowing them to play whichever character they want to for raiding, as long as it does not decrease the fun for others (10 badly geared alts will not be a fun night, because we won't kill anything !)

We will have in mind that we want the guild to still exist and be active when the new Kung-Fu Panda expansion arrives (my best estimate for this would be October 2012 based on previous experience of how long it takes Blizzard to deliver something after they announce it). When that expansion arrives, we want to have a stable guild, having fun, but able to make some progress at our own pace. This would also be the time to spend our 1 million gold chasing the usual server first profession related achievements

That's about all I can think of for now.

As regards who can join us ....

Let's try and wipe the slate clean and have a fresh start with all people, but not guild bank thieves. WOW can be a stressful game and we should all acknowledge that from time to time everyone has had some kind of rage with WOW. We should by now have learnt that we can get past a few bad words and show some forgiveness to others.

However, we are trying to keep a tight ship as regards raiding, so the following qualities will be looked for in raiders:

- reliability
- honesty
- good history with the guild and its members
- decent level of play
- looks after gear, brings consumables, enchants, gems, glyphs etc
- up to date with tactics / does research
- not greedy in terms of loot
- long term commitment
- is fun to play with

So if you are reading this, and you have had a bad experience with LUV, or with me, and you don't know whether you will be allowed to rejoin us, then here is my advice: ASK ME !! Don't be afraid, I won't bite !!

And finally, a word on what I think we can achieve.

I think very quickly we can kill in 10 man normal everything we killed before we stopped raiding. We can also add to that Nefarian, and Firelands bosses in 10 man normal. I also think that we can easily cope with some 10 man heroic bosses in Blackwing Descent, Throne of the Four Winds, and the other place at similar level (cannot remember the name!)

Then when the next raid patch comes out, the one with Deathwing, I think we can in our own time progress through that at normal level and kill Deathwing. Even if it needs a few nerfs from Blizzard (like they did with Lich King in the 6 months before Cataclysm, do you remember?)

As long as we are patient and having fun, it does not matter how fast we progress. That's what we need to remember.

And after a few months, we can always have a bit of a meeting and decide if we want to change the direction of the guild depending on whether this relaunch is meeting our goals.

Ok, back to work for me before I get fired !!

I hope to see you online soon !!

Our first 10 man raid is scheduled for Wednesday 26th October 2011 at 20:00 and there will be places for sure because only a few people know we are back already !!!

Kinds Regards, Chant

P.S. Vent server is back up, ask for details
